Level 1 — Foundation Engineer (CONFIGURE)
Level 1 certifies that an engineer can correctly install, configure and test a MILESGO / Sunfull device: knowledge required, 14 practical skills, exam structure and pass criteria.
The Level 1 standard is not knowing a lot of theory. It is being able to install, configure and test one MILESGO / Sunfull device correctly.
Who it is for
Engineers new to the field, technical support staff, sales engineers, commissioning technicians, junior system-integrator engineers, students, and anyone using MILESGO products for the first time.

Required practical skills
The engineer must be able to do all of the following without help:
- Log in to the device’s web management interface
- Change the device IP address
- Configure RS-485 parameters
- Create a Modbus RTU device
- Create a Modbus TCP device
- Create a BACnet device
- Create basic data points
- Read live values
- Tell whether a device is online or offline
- Check basic communication status
- Back up the configuration
- Restore the configuration
- Perform a basic firmware upgrade
- Import and export configuration files
Level 1 exam

Typical practical task: Modbus device → MILESGO gateway → BACnet/IP. Read and map a set of data points so that they are visible as BACnet objects.
Pass criteria
- Total score of at least 80%
- Theory score of at least 75%
- Practical score of at least 80%
Both parts must be passed: a certificate cannot be obtained on multiple-choice answers alone.
Certificate
Successful candidates receive MILESGO Certified Engineer – Level 1, shown on the certificate as MILESGO Certified Foundation Engineer.
